This leads to a “friends with benefits” scenario by which Emma only wants to use a physical relationship with Adam. And she’s unafraid to speak plainly, openly and confidently relating to affair, minded with using crass definitions. His friends Eli (Jake Johnson) and Wallace (Ludacris) think he’s struck gold, but Adam realizes he’s falling in love with Emma, an unattainable girl because of daddy issues and her seemingly all-consuming, intellectual act as a health care provider in training. Cary Elwes receives fourth billing with a nearly wordless cameo, Lake Bell presents a potential love triangle, and Ben Lawson can be a potential rival with just a single scene to guide that notion – just about every supporting role is poorly written and added too for pitiable comic relief.

After the stunt, Tracy is indeed impressed he stays in character a little longer, equally Kendis’s friends are impressed that Tracy was ready to do this for Kendis and pulled it well, and soon become friends with him. Tracy sees this as being a window to blossom his acting, and a door in to the minds and hearts from the misguided youths, however the leader with the teenage gang Shawn played by Nick Lashaway (The 40 Year Old Virgin), has some ominous plans for Tracy, he indicates this by having Tracy go into the local store and get them some alcohol, when he arrives using the alcohol the teenagers all take it and disperse from him, while Tracy naively asks “I thought it was for the parents”?

A subplot with Dr. Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard) is unnecessary and wasted, the principal villain Parallax is created up to be invincible then again casually discarded, and Hal’s love interest Carol Ferris (Blake Lively, proving she could only play one character) is hopelessly generic. It takes over 1 hour to devise a plot and forge an antagonist, and simply a couple of minutes to hastily resolve all this. Impressive makeup goes the route of repulsive rather than awe-inspiring, and also the costumes and character designs follow suit, appearing absurd in lieu of impactful.
